HOW TO APPLY LIP PAINT LIKE A PRO

Lip Paint application is the most critical part of your competition makeup look.  Long lasting, smudge-proof lip products have built in ingredients to create a matte lip paint that lasts.  These easy to use instructions help achieve maximum performance.

Tips to Apply Lip Paint:

Prep Your Lips the Night before: Start with a light exfoliation the night before your competition or performance to remove dry skin, then apply a hydrating lip balm.  Smooth lips creates a smooth matte finish.  Do not apply lip balm before the lip paint application.

Use the Tip of the Applicator

Remove the doe foot applicator from the lip tube and wipe excess lip paint off into applicator tube. DO NOT APPLY LIKE A LIP GLOSS. THE PRODUCT WILL NOT DRY CORRECTLY- apply in thin coats to allow proper fast drying.

Define the Shape: Using the tip of the applicator, line the edges of your lips by starting at your cupids bow. Then, apply the lip paint to your lower lip first using the lip paint sparingly. Then apply lip paint on the top lip from the center of the lip and work your way out towards the corner contouring around the lip line. 

Fast Drying: The lip paint should dry within 20-40 seconds, if it does not you have applied to much. The key to a smudge-proof application is thin coats. You can add additional layers to reach your desired intensity, but allow each layer to dry completely between applications.
